BOKO HARAM: Northern Governors Planning to Sue Jonathan

Governors of the nineteen northern states under the aegis of the Northern States Governors Forum, NSGF are reported to have concluded arrangements to sue President Goodluck Jonathan over the failure of the Federal Government to allocate funds with which to address the security challenge in the north.
The governors, who were said to have concluded a meeting in Abuja, were said to have also agreed to settle for compromise with their colleagues from the south on the issue of On/off shore crisis.
According to sources, the northern governors decided to drag the federal government to court because they believe that rather than manage the security challenge in the entire northern zone, the federal government was only concentrating on the nation’s capital city, Abuja.
The northern governors complained that they have been spending their extra budgetary allocation to address the problem of insecurity, the reason why were unable to deliver dividends of democracy to their people. They argued that the extra budgetary was spent to manage the police through the purchase of vehicles, police equipment and anti-bomb facilities.
